Taylor Elementary School
The first schoolhouse in Taylor was built in 1919 and was known as the Taylor Flats School. This 16 x 24 foot log building with two windows was built by the people of the area and provided 12 desks with one teacher, Mrs. Easton. The community takes great pride in knowing that the Taylor Flats School was the first school north of the Peace River in the British Columbia Peace River Block.
The present-day Taylor Elementary School was built in 1937 and is home to the Taylor Tigers. There are currently 10 teachers, one principal and six support staff.
