Seasonal Leisure Ice Hours
During the winter months, the leisure pad is open from 12pm – 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am-8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Leisure ice hours may be extended, with no prior notice, in the event that the main ice is rented past the normal operating hours of the leisure ice.
Use of the leisure ice is sponsored by North River Midstream, making it free to the public!
Ice Rentals
Main Ice rentals can be made by phoning the Community Services Hub at 250-789-2828 extension 3. All ice times are on a first, come first serve basis; ice times are subject to availability.
Youth Private Rental Rate – $75/hour
Adult Private Rental Rate – $125/hour
Rules and Regulations
- All District Ice Centre users are to adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the District Ice Centre Policy.
- No smoking or vaping in the District Ice Centre, or within 10 meters of any Ice Centre entrance.
- No alcohol may be consumed in the District Ice Centre, unless authorized by a BC Special Event Permit.
- No food or drink on the ice surfaces.
- No shoes, chair, or strollers on the ice surfaces.
- No one wearing skates is permitted in the bleachers.
- Users playing hockey must wear, at minimum, a hockey helmet and hockey gloves.
- No rough housing.
- No sticks or pucks on the leisure ice. When sticks are present on the main ice, leisure skating cannot occur on the same surface at the same time.
- Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult over the age of 18 while using change rooms, ice surfaces, or play equipment.
- Renters are responsible for the removal of tape, paper, and other items from the dressing rooms.
- Failure to comply with District Ice Centre rules will result in write ups being presented to non-compliant users, and actions being taken as listed in the Non-Compliance section of the District Ice Centre Policy.
