Our All-Star Team
Craig Simpson, Superintendent (pictured with Mulligan, left)
No longer our newest member of the team, Craig made his way through his first year and it feels like he’s been on our team forever! He came to us from Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler where he worked his way through the ranks of Turf Maintenance to become the Assistant Superintendent. In 2010, he completed his Turf Managers Course at the University of Guelph. After 17 years at Nicklaus North, 8 of them in the role of Assistant Superintendent, he was ready to be top dog and made his way north in 2018.
Craig, his wife Anna and son Jakob, came to the Peace Region to join Lone Wolf in the role of Superintendent in 2018. Craig has settled in very well at Lone Wolf and in the off season, coaching his son’s hockey team and out of town tournaments keeps him busy!
Larry Ramstad, PGA of Canada Head Professional (pictured with Mulligan, right)
2021 will be Larry’s 12th season as the Head Golf Professional at Lone Wolf. During this time he has helped promote the game through valuable teaching experience to the membership and has helped grow the junior golf program to over one hundred students. He was recognized for his club fitting expertise in 2015, being named one of Callaway’s top 10 club fitters. He is also certified to custom fit for Ping. Recently adding an indoor golf simulator to the club has allowed a year round experience for golf and instruction alike.
Larry brings over 25 years of professional experience to the Lone Wolf Golf Club. He began this tenure as an assistant golf professional at the Big Sky Golf and Country Club, one of Canada’s premiere golf and teaching facilities. In 2000, Big Sky was recognized by Golf Course Ranking Magazine as Canada’s # 1 Teaching Academy and in 2003 Larry was named a PGA of BC “Teacher of the Year” finalist. In 2004, He was promoted into the Head Professional position at Big Sky. Making the move from Whistler to Vancouver, he joined the professional team at the GreenRoom Golf Performance Center. The GreenRoom, a year round indoor teaching facility, brings state of the art teaching technologies combined with PGA Tour caliber club fitting expertise.
An accomplished tournament performer, he offers excellent insights into the game and proven teaching techniques to help players of all abilities reach their performance goals.
